A few new screenshots now added to the gallery – showing the new camera depth of field effects – needs some work, but not too shabby at this early stage.

This is it people! The day we've been waiting for since the past 5-6 years.
Its funny how things can change dramatically in life. Just 3 months ago, TAOC was considered dead and gone but we've overcome the odds, got our acts together and started working on this alpha. Ever since we made a "comeback", the development has been in Top Gear.
The last month in particular has been amazing. We've pushed our limitations, sacrificed our personal lives only for TAOC and the love for cricket!
Since our motto has always been "Gameplay over graphics", the gfx levels as expected are below average whilst the gameplay and physics have been given the most focus.
So here's presenting you, TAOC Alpha 0.1

The TAOC team have returned to dev with a new look and new vigor. We're here to stay this time.
The website has also had a massive facelift (which was LONG overdue) and is going to be updated more frequently over the months to come.
Ah, feels good to be back

Some short videos for people to watch prior to the big video and alpha release. These are of a practice scene in an open stadium – no nets involved. The alpha is still under construction so any bugs you see here will most likely be fixed for the alpha release.
NB: you will need the Xvid codec to watch these.
- The first one is a smash back over the bowler's head
- The second one is a missed cover drive against a fast swinging ball
- The third is a charge to an off spinning ball that ends up being a really nice straight drive
Video1 (9.8MB)
Video2 (7.7MB)
Video3 (13MB)

That’s right, folks. We at Vengeance Gaming are proud to announce the IMMINENT release of the so-called ‘alpha’ – a playable demo of TAOC which will be like a practice nets session without the nets.
It will feature full bowling and batting options with no fielders so you will be able to smack the ball around unhindered.
The full physics engine will be on show and you will be able to play all strokes and bowl all deliveries.
We will be releasing a teaser video prior to the alpha release which will hopefully keep people happy until we can deliver the main thing.
Thanks again for your continued support and patience despite our lagging deadlines.
Cheers everyone,
LM

hey folks, an upcoming cricketing website www.cricketgaming.net conducted an interview with me.
you can read it http://www.cricketgaming.net/forums/the-art-of-cricket/an-exclusive-interview-with-kartik-j-7758.html#post14445
The Art Of cricket PC game is being developed by a very small team of dedicated cricket enthusiasts. The game has been in development since 2005 and has been through several iterations and game engines. 2011 has seen something of a rebirth with the alpha 0.1 just released in March.
